Three strong partners within AI, digital technologies, data science and research are joining forces to strengthen knowledge sharing and collaboration across sectors and sub-fields.

Danish Data Science Academy, DIREC – Digital Research Centre Denmark and the Pioneer Centre for Artificial Intelligence will host their first shared national conference in 2023, with the goal of an annual recurring event.

“From its inception, the Pioneer Centre for AI has benefitted from an insightful and inspiring exchange of ideas with our counterparts at DDSA and DIREC. This initiative to bring together our annual meetings into a single event is a reflection of our organisations’ close working relationship and joint commitment to excellence”, says Serge Belongie, Director at the Pioneer Centre for AI.

“The vision for DIREC has from its inception been to make Denmark a worldwide recognized center for research, innovation, and education in digital technology. To fulfill this vision, we need to join forces. Therefore, we are looking forward to a shared conference, where we can bring the brightest minds in data science and AI together with the broad range of digital experts associated with DIREC.”, says Thomas Riisgaard Hansen, Managing Director at DIREC.

“One of our strategic objectives is to support network creation and knowledgesharing across data science in Denmark. With this joint annual meetup, we are creating a space for knowledgesharing across sub-fields and sectors within Danish research and development, thereby creating an essential framework towards establishing Denmark as a strong international player on AI, digital technologies, and data science,” says Sofie Castella, Managing Director at Danish Data Science Academy, and concludes: “So we are very excited that next year Pioneer Centre for AI, DIREC and DDSA will host a shared national conference.” Stay tuned for date, location, title and programme!
