Managing Director Sofie Inari Castella is moving on to new opportunities.
Sofie has led the Danish Data Science Academy since the organisation started its journey in 2021 to become an important uniting force in Danish data science. The Board of Directors thank Sofie for her founding contributions to unfold the great potential of Danish Data Science Academy, her leadership and enthusiasm, and wishes her the very best in her future endeavors.
‘Sofie Castella is a creative leader and an inspirator for the whole data science community. She has been instrumental in building the DDSA organisation that not only sponsors some of the finest young data scientists but also brings the many dimensions of Danish data science together, for example in the popular national conference series D3A. We thank Sofie for her massive impact on DDSA and extend our best wishes for her new role,’ says Lars Kai Hansen, Chair of the Board of Directors at Danish Data Science Academy, who continues, ‘Further, we are thrilled to share that Sofie has agreed to take leadership of the newly formed DDSA Advisory Panel and, in this capacity, joins the DDSA Board of Directors.’
Reflecting on her time with Danish Data Science Academy, Sofie shares: ‘I feel extremely privileged having collaborated with so many inspiring and warm people across the DDSA and the broad Danish data science community – for me, a truly unique 2,5 year period that will hold a very special place in my heart.’ She further notes, ‘The DDSA is in great shape, and at our midway point in the grant period, making it an ideal time for a new leader to join one of the best jobs out there.’
