Welcome to Danish Data Science 2022! On November 7-8 300+ talented data scientists are gathered at Legoland Hotel & Conference. Please find Press Release, Programme and other details here (in Danish).

“Digitalisation and new technologies have provided new opportunities for growth and new ways of doing business. The foundation for digitalisation and development of robots and new technology is data. In other words, data is the raw material of digitalisation and technology. Here, competent data scientists with strong skills within machine learning and artificial intelligence play a crucial role in collecting and extracting the value of data,” says Lars Kai Hansen, Chairman of the board at Danish Data Science Academy and Professor at DTU Compute.

“Being able to understand and handle large amounts of data is at the core in developing both private companies and the public sector,” says Sofie Castella, Managing Director at Danish Data Science Academy, and continues: “We have gathered 300+ talented data scientists across industries and sectors, who can inspire each other to develop different parts of the field. Our focus is to facilitate this development and define data science as an independent field across industries. We also hope that it can be a catalyst for Danish data science taking a strong international position.”

We are proud to present our six keynote speakers at the conference Mihaela van der Schaar from University of Cambridge, Mine Cetinkaya-Rundel from Duke University, Sune Lehmann from Technical University of Denmark, Sara Magliacane from University of Amsterdam, Theofanis Karaletsos from Insitro and Julien Simon from Hugging Face. Tech-artist Cecilie Waagner Falkenstrøm will also introduce her interactive digital art project to the participants!
