Background
I am an assistant professor in statistics at the National Center of Excellence for Molecular Prediction of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (PREDICT), Aalborg University, Copenhagen. I completed my PhD in statistics at the Australian Research Council Center of Excellence for Mathematical and Statistical Frontiers (ACEMS) at the Queensland University of Technology. I am Australian and I live here with my Danish wife and my son.
Motivation
I would like to give back to the community of statisticians and data scientists who helped me through mentoring when I was at an earlier stage of my career. Furthermore, I enjoy working through problems together and I will inevitably learn new things myself. I also think talking through big decisions and career progression together is a good idea, and we should all do it more. There’s a lot I don’t know but I enjoy talking through a tricky question.
