Background

As a globally experienced Mathematics and Biostatistics professional, I bring a unique perspective to my work in Data Science and Machine Learning, with a focus on addressing challenges in public health, with a growing interest in sustainability, climate change, and sustainable food systems. My educational journey took me from the University of Alberta to Université Paris-Saclay, and I defended my PhD at Université Paris Cité. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong command of R for data analysis and machine learning and Python for deep learning, continually updating my skillset through MOOCs and earning various Specializations and Professional Certificates in Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, MLOps, TinyML, GAN, and more. With three first-author publications in The Lancet Public Health, Nature Medicine, and Nature Communications, I strive to make meaningful contributions to a multidisciplinary field of study with data science and artificial intelligence.

Motivation

Born in South Korea, I have gained valuable experience studying and working across South Korea, Canada, the United States, France, and Denmark. I like the idea of growing together and I belive that participating in this mentorship program would help expand my network in Denmark.
