Background

I am a mathematician and computational biologist with a PhD in Mathematics (2019), currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen. My research bridges mathematics, machine learning, and evolutionary genomics, with a focus on ancient DNA (aDNA) and environmental DNA (eDNA). I have several years of international postdoctoral experience, including at Lund University in Sweden, where I worked on bioinformatics and ancient genomics. My expertise includes statistical modeling, image processing, and the development of machine learning methods for complex biological data. I am especially passionate about interdisciplinary research and mentoring early-career scientists, particularly those navigating cross-disciplinary paths.
