Event Description 

The Pre-Graduate Retreat event takes place over two days, designed for bachelor’s and master’s students who are curious about pursuing a PhD. Throughout the retreat, you will hear from a diverse lineup of speakers who will share insights from both academia and industry, helping you understand what it’s like to be a PhD student and how research careers differ across data science fields.

As a participant, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and chat with peers, mentors, and potential supervisors, and to engage in interactive panels that offer a closer look at the daily life, challenges, and rewards of pursuing a PhD. The retreat offers an inclusive and informal environment for you to engage with professionals of all senorities. You’ll also get the chance to apply your data science and problem-solving skills through a collaborative group activity with fellow students.
