Data science meetup, Odense
Meet up in Odense for all studying/working with or simply interested in data science.
The event is primarily aimed at master’s students in Data Science at SDU, but will also include PhD
students, researchers, and data science professionals in Southern Denmark.
Students/professionals within data science in general (not just “Data Science”-students) and from other universities/cities are of course very welcome too, as the event is open to anyone with an interest in data science.
The purpose of the event is to test a format that combines a scientific keynote with structured social interaction, and to explore whether such an event can foster stronger connections among students, researchers, and professionals in data science. Hopefully, it will be a recurring event.
Programme:
17:00-18:00 – Arrival and social activity to encourage mingling across groups
18:00-19.00 – Invited talk by Professor Richard Röttger followed by Q&A and discussion
19:00-21:00 – Informal networking over free pizzas and drinks
The organisers behind the event are Sarah Wordenskjold Stougaard and Ian Wordenskjold Stougaard, MScs in Data Science from SDU, now working as a PhD Student at Odense University Hospital, department of Oncology, and data scientist at GS1, respectively.
