Lille Kat is an event aimed at students from all study programmes at ITU who want to solve problems, improve their programming skills, and hang out with friends. The Lille Kat events aim to be fun and challenging for programmers of every skill level.

Lille Kat hosts around 5 events every semester at about a two-week interval at ITU. To partake in the event participants must access the Kattis website where they’ll find roughly 10 computational problems. Participants submit their solutions to the Kattis website which grades the solution based on correctly answering the problem and resource consumption. The problems vary in difficulty – thereby new students who have just started their studies will find at least one question they likely will be able to answer just as there will be more challenging questions for more experienced programmers, such as professors and master’s students. Participants are free to form groups or participate individually in the event and answer as many computational problems as they want.
