Paraskevas Pegios

Background

Paraskevas is a Postdoctoral Researcher at DTU Electro, working on Physical AI. He holds a PhD in AI from DTU, funded by the Pioneer Centre for AI, where he specialized in Generative and Explainable AI. His research spans machine learning, computer vision, and multimodal models. During his PhD, he published multiple papers contributing to both methodological and applied AI research, with results featured at leading conferences and journals. His experience in medical imaging research as well as remote sensing, aerospace, and the pharma industry shapes his work on real-world AI applications.

Motivation

Paraskevas is eager to support early-career data scientists and young AI researchers. Having relocated to Denmark and worked in both academia and industry, he understands the challenges of adapting to a new culture and navigating career decisions. As a mentor, he hopes to share practical advice on AI research, career development, and settling into life in Denmark — especially for international students. Above all, he aims to help students build confidence, set ambitious goals, and thrive in the field of AI and data science.
