Neeraj Bokde

Position: Senior Researcher at Technology Innovation Institute, Professor (Asst.) at Aarhus University
Categories: Computer Science, Engineering and Technical Science
Location: Abroad

Background

Originally from Nagpur, India, I am currently based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where I work as a Senior Researcher in the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Research Center at Technology Innoation Institute (TII), United Arab Emirates; and Assistant Professor in the Center for Quantitative Genetics and Genomics (QGG) at Aarhus University, Denmark.

I was educated and trained in India and Denmark in engineering, data science, renewable energy, and computer science. At the crossroads of these fields, my research interests lie within the general area of theoretical and applied data science, time series analysis view on industrial applications such as in digital twins, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, statistical software development, visualization techniques, and predictive analysis; and on exploring the scope of automation of the machine learning and data science methodologies.

Motivation

I’m excited to join the mentoring program as I strongly believe in giving back to the data science community. My main motivation is to guide young data scientists through the industry’s complexities, just as I was guided when starting my career. Additionally, I look forward to the personal growth and enhanced leadership skills that come with mentoring. Lastly, I’m eager to broaden my professional network and foster enriching relationships within this vibrant field.
